Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if I need to call on an emergency basis?

For emergencies, please call (510) 724-4435. After regular office hours, the answering service will contact the doctor on-call.

How will I be notified of the results of my Mammogram? Pap Smear? Bone Density Test? Ultrasound?

Each procedure has its own timeframe to return results. Please review our Office Procedures for information about how and when you will receive results for each procedure.

How can I get my prescription refilled?

Prescription requests and/or refills can be faxed or phoned in to our office. When faxing or phoning in a prescription request, be sure to provide our office with the location and phone number of the pharmacy where you want that prescription to be filled. Our office will then fax the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. If you are unable to provide us with the pharmacy information, the prescription will be sent to the pharmacy on record in your chart. Prescription requests must be approved by the physician and will be sent to the pharmacy within one business day of our office receiving the request.

**Please note: BY LAW, our office can only fill a prescription for a maximum of one (1) year from the date of your last office visit.**
